The wall magazine BHODOI, whose theme in 2012 edition was on Majuli-A Heritage for the World, bagged the 3rd Prize in the overall competition.
On th every same day, The Departmental Freshers Party was organised.

Prof Suren Talukdar, Former Head, Department of Geography,Cotton College,Guwahati delivered a Popular Talk on GEOGRAPHY THROUGH AGES & Prof K.K Nath Former Head,Dept. of Agro Metereology,Assam Agricultural University delivered his talk on MONSOON : Its Genesis & Mechanisms.
